The 2010 tractor run ran on Sunday the 27th June starting and ending in Carrig, Lacken
Over 200 tractors and 70 vintage cars took part in the run. The parade in Blessington was a fantastic success with crowds lining both sides of the street from one end of the town to the other.
Yet once again we were blessed with the weather.
We hope that everyone enjoyed the event and once again we thank you for your support.
In the Field there were activities as follows:
Threshing,
Blacksmith
Stonecutting, Old Heart Cooking Sheep Shearing
Family fun activities include: Bouncy Slide, Childrens under 5's Fancy Dress, Face Painting, Tea Rooms, Win-a-Fish, Wheel of Fortune, Teenage Chill Zone and lots more!!
The Parade in Blessington had
Brass Band, Hunt with Hounds, Billy Goat, Horses and many other attractions.
As this location is closer to Blessington we reversed the route to go clockwise around the lake see the map
We still have to be very much aware of the health and safety of participants and spectators so the following restrictions were adheared to:
No trailers, boxes, front or rear attachments.
Only one person per tractor except where a second seat is available in the cab.
All tractors must be insured and road worthy.
Keep an eye on this site for more details as they are posted-and this year we have our own
Miss Hillbilly-Annette Kavanagh
The proceeds this year will be going to KARE and we all know that it is a deserving cause and deserves our support.
The event was a great success
